In addition to the original Teaching KATE program,
a seventh and eighth grade curriculum is available for returning
or advanced groups. As students conduct experiments and participate
is hands-on activities, they learn more about the natural resource
areas of forestry, water, soils, and wildlife. Students explore
soil microbiology, advanced water quality testing, wetland delineation,
wildlife habitat analysis, papermaking, the form and function of
trees, how trees respond to different management systems and more.
